A nature preserve and park, Green Cay offers visitors the opportunity to explore various habitats unique to Florida. These include the cabbage palm hammock, the cypress swamp, the wetland hammock, and the tropical hardwood hammock. Animal lovers will not be disappointed with the turtle pond and frog terrarium exhibits. To complete any exploration of Florida, Green Cay is even home to young live alligators. If the imagery of Florida’s nature doesn’t wow you, then be sure that the theatre, gift shop, and exhibition hall inside will.

The Boynton Inlet is a gorgeous beach park on the intracoastal with a myriad of amenities. The guarded beach offers a designated swimming area, saltwater fishing, canoeing and kayaking, a marina and an ocean overlook. In addition, there are picnic areas with grills, picnic shelters, sitting pavilions and playgrounds.

Harvey E Oyer Jr. Park is an 8-acre waterfront park. Perfect for boating and fishing, it offers a ramp, docks, and pier. For a more lowkey day, it also offers a playground and picnic area.

HAUNTED PIRATE FEST AND MERMAID SPLASH

During Pirate Fest, East Ocean Avenue will be transformed into Hobb’s Cove, a bustling old world port brimming with pirate superstitions of the shipwrecks off the coast of Boynton Beach and Merlandia, a mysterious oasis where the sirens of the sea lure you into the depths with their song. This lively event features 12 stages of continuous live music, children’s activities, pirate stunt shows, and the enchanted market.

If you’re a foodie and would like to discover the many flavors of Palm Beach County, the Flavor of Palm Beach offers a variety of three-course meals from more than 50 restaurants, without breaking the bank. The event is held for an entire month and offers an atmosphere of craving and creativity with a spectaculous waterfront view.
