Boca Raton, FL - January 28, 2011 - The momentum grows even stronger for the Boca Raton Executive Club with its highly anticipated February luncheon, featuring Boca Raton entrepreneur Marc Bell.
Mr. Bell is the Managing Director of Marc Bell Capital Partners, a local private equity firm based in Boca Raton, Florida which was founded by Mr. Bell, a Boca Raton entrepreneur and businessman, in 2003. Marc Bell Capital Partners invests in a myriad of ventures in the fields of entertainment, publishing, internet and real estate related assets.
In addition to Marc Bell Capital Partners, Mr. Bell is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Enterprise Acquisition Corporation which is a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company. Mr. Bell is also the Boca Raton entrepreneur who started and currently is the CEO for FriendFinder Networks - the world's largest social networking company with over 250 million members worldwide. In addition, the FriendFinder Networks family of companies produces and distributes original pictorial and video content, and licenses its globally recognized Penthouse brand to a variety of consumer companies and entertainment venues; moreover, publishing the branded men's lifestyle magazine.
Previously Mr. Bell, still a top Boca Raton businessman, served as Chairman and CEO of Globix Corporation, a web-hosting company which globally owned 20,000 miles of fiber and over 1m sq ft of internet data center space. Mr. Bell founded the predecessor company for Globix, NAFT International Ltd as a provider of desktop publishing systems in 1989 and added several complementary businesses including print brokerage, hosting, network and application services. This company, then called Bell Technology Group, completed an IPO and was listed on the NASDAQ in 1996. Under Mr. Bell's leadership and oversight, Bell Technology Group grew rapidly into Globix, a leading provider of sophisticated corporate Internet solutions, with over 1,000 employees worldwide.
Having founded many companies throughout his career, Mr. Bell has been a seed investor and initial entrepreneur in several start-up entities including iFilm, Vault.com, NetSat Express, Edgar Online, Earnings.com and SpamEx. With his background in real estate, he has also overseen numerous large scale real estate development projects in New York, London, and Santa Clara, as well as South Florida.
As a producer of several successful Broadway musicals, including Jersey Boys, The Wedding Singer, August: Osage County, A Catered Affair, Boca Raton entrepreneur, Mr. Bell has been a winner of the American Theatre Wing's Tony Award ("2006 Best Musical" for Jersey Boys ) and a winner of the National Society of Recording Arts and Sciences Grammy Award ("Best Musical Show Album - 2006" for Jersey Boys ).
A life-long businessman, Mr. Bell was an adjunct professor at the Global Entrepreneurship Center of Florida International University, where he taught graduate courses in Entrepreneurship. He is also member of the Board of Trustees of New York University and NYU School of Medicine.
Mr. Bell and his wife Ruti founded The Marc and Ruti Bell Foundation in 2001 to foster education and advance medical research. Since its inception, the foundation has organized momentous personal and outside donations to educational institutions and hospitals. Some of the foundation's most notable programs include The Bell Scholarship, which encourages undergraduates to choose careers in public service by relieving them of their debt upon graduation.
Mr. Bell has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Babson College and a Masters in real estate from New York University.
